Warmset GOLD Aluminium has the aluminium support, unlike the fiberglass mesh, does not have a grid pattern, but looks like a long carpet, 50 cm wide with an aluminum film on the top and bottom face. Therefore it is not suitable in applications where a good permeability to mortar/glue is required, but has considerable advatages in dry applications: the reduced thickness of the membrane and the use of a thermal conductive material such as aluminium, allow a fast and homogeneous heat diffusion, especially in those applications as dry subfloor under laminate or floating floor, where the heater is placed directley under the coverage, and this and excellent spread on the surface is required to avoid significant differences between hot and cold spots.

Warmset Aluminium Foil, innovative radiant floor heating system, is composed by a 17 mm strip that is stretched and incorporated between two layers of PET film / aluminium with a standard 500 mm width. Wires inside are mainly made up of rolled aluminium and other metal alloys with polyester film.

The 17 mm strip has an average thickness of 3 mm with a maximum of 6 mm on head and tail connections. Length and coil power are variable: 1 to 40 m in length and from 30 to 300 W/m2 compatible with product's features.

The space between webbing and with webbing inside the coil varies from 25 to 70 mm, thus guaranteeing a surface coverage of more than 40% of the area.

Warmset radiant floor heating systems is optimal for dry applications, including engineered, laminate and floating wood floors

The standard cold cable length output is 5 m+.

Just perfect Review by Clyde V.
heats up quick and evenly. Thermostat is simple to use. I’ve previously installed a different kit from this supplier in my bathroom. Both work great.

One final note - the customer support by this supplier has been fantastic. Each time. Any questions message them, they’ve answered me really quickly. (Posted on 03/06/2019)
Very Happy Cat Review by Mr. Stephen Downing
So impressed I am doing a second room! I live a bit off the grid so no natural gas supply, so have been looking for 2 years for a decent way to background heat my cottage, saw the reviews and tried this. The kit is very simple and straightforward to use, and fitting this and the insulation took half a day, shame B&Q never turned up with the laminate but that's a different story! The kit is complete with the mat, all the fitting tape you could think of, floor sensor and very useful programmer. All you do is get a sparky to do the final electrical connection and you are sorted. Don't forget, only cut the mat and not the cable, other than that a simple job wit a good result. Kitchen done, next kit ordered for the lounge and I have a very happy cat now! In terms of costs for running, the 6m2 kit is rated at 840 watts and I pay 9.9p/kwh for electricity, which equates to 8.3 pence per hour when its on, but as it is thermostatically controlled, it is not on constantly! Great stuff. Easy to lay. Nice warm toes! Review by Cris
have fitted infrared underfloor heating to many a floor since I first discovered it 5 or so years ago, and I have never had a problem.
You do need a qualified electrician to do the final wiring up, so as to comply with the Part 'P' regulations, but you can do the rest yourself and get a really cosy floor under your feet for very little money.
You should always use a good quality foam under the electric elements, as this will help you make the best of your heat.
The only remotely tricky part of fitting is the cutting of the mat itself.
The 2 most important points to remember are :-
1) Never cut through the wire elements - I know it sounds daft - but I have had 2 friends call me on a Sunday afternoon wanting to know how to fit the wires back together after they have mistakenly cut them! You can't. That's it.
2) Keep the heater element wires (the curved bit) in your left hand - held above the mat and only cut the aluminum foil backing sheet. This way the all important wire elements will never be near your scissors!
Another important point is the measuring before you order. Measure accurately and then measure again!
Order less than you think you will need, as it cannot be shortened.
The heating wires go out and then back on themselves, forming a loop, so if you cut the end off the wire loop you have destroyed the functionality of the mat.
I appreciate that this sounds a bit scary, but it isn't designed to put you off! Far from it - laying this stuff is easy as long as you take a few moments to think about what you are doing before you do it. (Posted on 24/02/2019)
